I'm always rady to admit my mistakes. A gent' named "PCI Hack" responded to my last post with this message: Someone on the Ars Technica boards reports having found a hack that enables QE on PCI cards whose AGP cousins will support QE. This was also reported on the notorious MacOSRumors web site. If you follow the link and use the hack, do so at your own risk. [LINK] MacOS Rumors has this to say: This almost certainly saturates the PCI bus and is not optimal for systems that have a lot of other PCI bus usage (Ethernet cards, SCSI cards, etc). However, the ArsTechnica BBS user who posted and had used this hack reports a modest performance gain nonetheless. If you try this hack, please report to us how well it works!
