Everybody's Emulating By now you've probably heard that you can run Mac OS X on an XBox using PearPC and a Linux hack. Of course, when you run an operating system in emulation it slows things down a bit. And running the whole thing on a really ancient 25MHz Mac Centris 650 is... well... stupid. Yet that is exactly what someone has done and posted about it on the AppleTalk Australia site. How slow is it? OS X 10.3 has been starting up since Monday, October 25th. It will probably finish booting next Monday.
OLD COMMENTS So you are suggesting that modern Macs are a bit faster? Posted by: on October 29, 2004 12:29 AM
A week to boot? That sounds about right for a Mac. Posted by: on October 29, 2004 04:19 PM
