I know it seems early to make this call, but it looks like there's no real competition this year. The clear winner is a sleek little black beauty that replaces an already popular item. At first it seems like an expensive vanity purchase, but over time one comes to realize that it can make an important contribution to one's quality of life.

The Egg and Muffin Toaster allows one to quickly make egg and muffin sandwiches or hard boil eggs or just make toast. When I say quickly, I mean that it makes an egg sandwich in about the same amount of time that it takes to make a cup of coffee. Set it up, turn it on, turn around to make your coffee, turn back to slap together the sandwich and start munching. It's surprisingly easy to fine-tune it to make the eggs just the way a person likes them.
